A COMMUNITY furniture store which helps those on low incomes is set to hold a fun day fundraiser.

Highbridge Furniture Ltd is a volunteer managed and run community furniture re-use shop which lends a helping hand to pensioners, benefits claimants, students and other people on low incomes.

It was handed a mayor’s civic award last month by Burnham and Highbridge mayor Ken Smout in recognition of the work its volunteers to do improve the community.

The store, in Morland Road, will hold a fun day on June 8 from 1-4pm with a tombola, raffle, psychic readings and face painting.
