A PETROL station received complaints from motorists after the garage’s pumps were filled with the wrong fuel.
The Shell service station in Winterstoke Road, Weston, investigated the problem after customers said they had problems with their vehicles after filling up with what they thought was diesel on November 9.
The station’s manager, Surish Knan, told the Mercury there was a problem with the diesel and unleaded pumps and they were closed until the late afternoon to rectify the situation.
Mr Knan said: “The mistake was on our side and occurred when there was a change over of fuel with the pumps.
“We have had around 10 people complain and are trying to help them by paying for the cost of the fuel or any damage caused.”
