A GROWING commercial quarter on the outskirts of Weston is now boasting a new green and gold colour scheme thanks to an award-winning garden designer.

Mark Walker was commissioned by Weston Gateway Business Park developer Dowlas to make the area’s grounds more colourful and appealing.

Adopting the green and gold colours of this year’s Weston In Bloom theme, Mark has since set about sprucing up land surrounding the likes of Knightstone Housing and the Super Mare pub, two early site tenants.

Mark said: “Dowlas is keen to make all of its newly developed sites stand out from other similar sites within North Somerset, with careful thought to the environment a core value. Weston In Bloom is a community event that highlights horticultural excellence within the town - many businesses support it, and their support is a key part of the continued success of the town’s gold statuses.”

Gemma Day of Dowlas added: “We asked Mark to make the entrance to the Weston Gateway Business Park reflect the quality of the buildings, and as a welcome to visitors and employees - he has certainly achieved that with his inspirational ideas and concepts.”
