AN HOTEL-STYLE tea room has opened in Weston as part of a family bid to regenerate the town.

Richard Nightingale’s sister Amanda Fowler cut the ribbon to the High Teas with MP John Penrose last month.

The coffee shop, in Waterloo Street, is the first tea room to open in what Mrs Fowler hopes will become a chain across the country.

The store aims to blend hotel sophistication with a traditional environment where customers can enjoy freshly baked cakes, scone and other produce.

Mrs Fowler said: “I am really thrilled about this new concept.

“High Teas offers a tremendous range of flavours in teas and coffees and a wonderful assortment of freshly baked produce.

“This is a very exciting time for Weston with a number of businesses investing in the community which we hope, in turn, will create employment and increase prosperity.”
