Hotel staff raise £50k for charity

More that £50,000 has been raised for a children's charity by staff from a Congresbury hotel, who took on a mammoth cycle from London to Paris.

Staff from DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House embarked on the epic three-day challenge before rolling into Paris having raised an amazing £52,000 for a worthy cause.

The 35 riders, made up of hotel staff and representatives of Black and White Hospitality (BWH), tackled the 300-mile ride in aid of Action Medical Research for Children.

The team was headed by Cadbury House owner, and BWH chairman Nick Taplin. He said: “It was an amazing experience. The determination by the team was really commendable and I’d like to thank everyone who took part.

“We’ve raised an amazing amount of money which will help children and babies not as fortunate as ourselves.”
