Hotel changes hands

A SOMERSET hotel has changed hands. Laburnum House Hotel in West Huntspill has been taken over by Mervyn and Sandy Parrish, who have taken a lease on the premises for an undisclosed price.

Christie + Co was instructed to handle the marketing of the hotel by the owner, David Cox, who had decided to lease the operation of the business so he can concentrate on other interests.

Company director Jonathan Hill said: “Mervyn and Sandy Parrish are experienced hoteliers and are looking to build on the current success of the business.

“They will, no doubt, benefit from the large influx of workers at the extensive developments in the surrounding area.”
