CONGRESBURY will host an international championship of one of the world’s most famous board games.
The Bristol Easter Championship will see Scrabble players from the UK and Europe converge on the village for the four-day tournament.
It will be held at Doubletree by Hilton, Cadbury House from April 18-21.
Colin Badcock, hotel general manager, said he was delighted to host the event again.
He said: “This will be the third time the organisers have selected us for one of their Scrabble championships. They are remarkably dedicated and follow a fairly strict game format but aren’t afraid to make themselves at home and try out all our facilities.”
