A building firm in Hutton has been selected to get a new award from leading consumer watchdog Which? and become one of its Trusted Traders.

Only a handful of businesses across the country will be given this endorsement and Clayton Construction is the only construction company in the area to get it.

The scheme is designed to help consumers get the best deal possible, as traders have to go through a series of rigorous tests before they are given the title. The assessment includes a site visit, questionnaire and randomly selected customer feedback.

The business, which is based in Church Lane, carries out renovations, coversions and roofing as well as general building work.

Company owner Mark Orchard, alongside employees Michael Hoare-Matthews and Jams Orchard, received the award from Tony Jackson of Which? Trusted Traders.
