GREEN Pastures Veterinary Centre is highlighting the importance of ID chipping your pet.
The surgery in Moor Lane, Weston, currently has four strays which are clearly owned but have no ID chip so they can not be reunited with their owners.
Green Pastures veterinary nurse, Holly Hartell, explained: "We recently had a cat that was hit by a car and sustained awful injuries.
"Luckily he was ID chipped and we were able to contact the owner straight away and treat him.
"Microchipping provides the reassurance that if your pet goes missing you are more likely to be reunited if they are found.
