The Imperial Pub, in South Parade, closed this afternoon (Thursday) for unknown reasons.
Staff poured the Weston pub’s last pints at around 4.50pm today. They only were told this morning it would not open tomorrow.
The Imperial has had a number of different owners over the past eight years.
It has recently undergone a makeover, featuring a new sign and bar front.
The reason behind the sudden closure is not yet known and when the Mercury approached the business, they refused to comment.
