MORE than 250 jobs could soon be offered on the edge Weston after planning permission for a new headquarters were approved by North Somerset Council.
The building, as illustrated by an artist, forms part of the next phase of the Dowlas development at Weston Gateway, near The Super Mare pub on the approach to junction 21 of the M5.
No business has been lined up for the site as yet. Construction is expected to begin soon and it is hoped the new centre will be open by the end of 2015.
Planned development at Hinkley make Weston an attractive business proposition according to Dowlas’ Gemma Day.
She said: “We anticipate strong demand from companies associated with the project due to the convenience of the location and due to the quality of the development.”
