Sam Box who works at Glentworth Letting Agents is preparing to abseil off the 100ft Emmanuel Church on March 7.
One hundred volunteers have been invited to take the plunge from the Oxford Street church to raise money for The Stroke Association.
The 26-year-old said: "I have never done anything like this before and to be honest I am really scared of heights.
"I decided to challenge myself and to raise as much money for the cause as possible."
