A LONDIS store in Weston is fighting back against Tesco Express with a revamp and fresh food for customers on the move.

The shop on Weston High Street was re-launched on Red Nose Day and the staff invited customers old and new to enjoy a range of free tasters and encouraged donations to the cause.

Owner, Mark Canniford, said: "As we are located in a pedestrian area we wanted to provide a store where the community could also refuel with the help of quick and friendly staff.

"The store now has a much brighter feel and customers will find daily baked bread as well as fresh food for when they are on the go including baguettes, hot wraps, Cornish pasties, hot bacon sizzlers and pies.

"The new Swiss coffee machine is great as it serves fair trade coffee from South America and actually grinds the beans and uses refrigerated milk, so the flavour is not lost.

"I would like to thank our customers for their continued, loyal support.
