A NEW massage room has opened at a Weston gym, more than a month after its original opening date was foiled by burst pipes.
The room at Sweat FA in Winterstoke Road was meant to open two weeks before Christmas, but after the building’s water pipes froze three days before Christmas, it was flooded, meaning the official opening had to be put back by more than a month.
But now the room, which offers reflexology, Indian head massages and aromatherapy among other techniques, has opened, and will hold a special taster weekend on February 12 and 13.
Massueuse Nicola Riney said: “We’re going to have a pig roast on both days, we’ll be having half hour Rane tasters on the Sunday, and I’m going to be doing ten minute tasters on both days. We’re looking forward to getting going finally.”
