STAFF at a Worle supermarket are celebrating after being recognised for great service by a retail, trade magazine.

Sainsbury’s in Queensway won The Grocer 33’s Mystery Shopper award for store of the week across the whole country.

The store was praised for its great customer service, with assistant Sue Francis described as ‘very friendly, helpful and smiley’.

The store was also recognised for having full shelves and for having a clean environment.

Simon Luffman has been the store manager since March and it is the third time that he has won the award, with his other wins coming during his time in Barnwood.

Simon, who is from Worle, said: “I’ve lived here all my life.

“I used to come to the store with my grandparents in the 1980s.

“The award is a testament to the hard work of my colleagues.

“It’s been a team effort since day one when I arrived here and we will continue to ensure we set high standards of great service and products.”
