A WELL-KNOWN father-of-two has been appointed as the new general manager of the Grand Pier in Weston.

Paul Charalambous has a history of working in the hospitality trade in and around the town and his family has been involved in the catering industry for many years.

The 42-year-old said: “I am delighted to be working at the Grand Pier, which is a fantastic attraction, drawing people into the town from all over the country.

“From the very start I will be focusing on managing the day-to-day running of the Grand Pier and the evening events, which are becoming increasingly popular.”
