A new shop which will help people to reduce waste and save money has opened up in Weston.
Holly Law opened the doors to Replenish Weston in Meadow Street on Tuesday.
Shoppers can pop in and weigh out the correct amount of pasta, grains, beans and pulses for their meals that week to cut down on waste and save money on packets which they may not use.
She also stocks ethical, Fairtrade and organic products and food for people following vegan and gluten-free diets.
She said: “My aim is to increase access to affordable, natural and ethical products while at the same time reducing unnecessary packaging.
“I want to encourage people to use the brown paper bags we have in the shop or to bring their own containers to refill with just as much as they need, rather than having half eaten bags of grains in their kitchen cupboards which will get thrown out eventually.”
The shop also holds cookbooks so people can pop in for inspiration.
