New tearoom opens on seafront

A NEW tearoom is looking to bring a touch of traditional English sophistication to Weston’s seafront.

Dr Fox’s Tearoom has opened on the historic Knightstone Island, and is named after physician Dr Edward Long Fox, who bought the island in 1828 and spent 20,000 on improving it.

The tea room, which was officially opened by Tony Jones, chairman of Knightstone Island Limited, will be open from 8am-6pm every day, and will be serving breakfast, light lunches and afternoon teas, and a traditional roast dinner every Sunday.

There is also a range of comfy sofas, and free WiFi.
