WESTON said goodbye to one landmark and hello to another as building work continues to gather pace at Dolphin Square.
As Sands nightclub was reduced to rubble, the infrastructure of the new Premier Inn hotel was clearly visible next to it in Beach Road.
The future for the Sands site will not be decided upon until next year but the 112-bed hotel is the first part of the 35million redevelopment plan. Despite an announcement two months ago that businesses will not need to clear the precinct until September 2012, developers McLaren Life are confident the new area will be complete on time in 2013.
Harvester, Vue Cinemas, First Bowl and Pizza Express are businesses already confirmed for the new Dolphin Square.
