A NORTH Somerset dog grooming salon has won a national award for the quality of its work.
Charley Cullinane, who works for The Pet Studio in Yatton was voted Newcomer of the Year 2011 at this year’s British Dog Grooming Championships in Warwickshire.
Business owner Liza Smith said 18-year-old Charley had only been grooming since September 2010.
She said: “I’m so proud and absolutely delighted with the award given to Charley. She has worked so hard with all her training and completely deserves the recognition.”
More than 100 competitors competed at the show and parts of it were filmed for an unnamed BBC documentary.
