BUSINESS leaders from Weston and Somerset travelled to the capital to meet Westminster MPs.
Local Enterprise Partnerships were the topic of conversation when 18 members of the Federation of Small Businesses travelled to meet six regional MPs.
Ian Davis of Weston met Tessa Munt, Parliamentary Private Secretary to Vince Cable, Secretary of State for business innovation.
Mr Davis said: “The whole day was a huge success. It was wonderful to visit the Palace of Westminster building and to hear about its glorious history, but the highlight of the day has to have been meeting with some of our region’s constituency MPs in Parliament and having the opportunity to talk with them about the LEPs.”
