Weston Jobs Fair proved a big success at the Winter Gardens, with jobseekers finding exciting new opportunities.
The biannual event, which is orchestrated by Weston MP John Penrose and his team, attracted a sizable crowd on April 24 – with dozens of employers showcasing vacancies.
Mr Penrose was delighted with the turnout at the jobs fair, with some people taking the first step on the path to an exciting new career.
He told the Mercury: “In spite of pretty awful rain, we had a great turnout and both employers and local people who came looking for work gave us very good feedback.
“We even had to turn the refreshment room into a make-shift interview room because some of them were so keen.
“At least one person was offered a job on the spot. How’s that for a good day?”
