A VILLAGE post office is set to be modernised this summer.
Yatton Post Office, in High Street, will be closed for eight days from June 7 while improvements are made to its interior.
It will continue to have three counters, although one will be screened and the other two open.
The branch’s opening hours will also be increased to 9am-5.30pm Monday to Saturday.
Tony Jones, network manager for West England, said: “We understand how important having a post office is to residents and we are confident that this new modern service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.”
