A HARDWARE shop in Milton has been doing its bit for charity, by raising vital cash for the Blood Bikes.
Southcombe’s Hardware shop in Milton Road has this year raised £161 for Freewheelers, a charity which provides an emergency voluntary service known as Blood Bikes. The bikers transport blood and other medical supplies between hospitals and NHS institutions.
Shop customers donated this money in appreciation of Southcombe’s fundraising Christmas window display.
These funds will enable three bikes to operate for 48 hours. Pictured is manager Richard Southcombe and Freewheelers volunteer Steve Brookes.
