A growing recruitment agency has opened a branch near Weston.

Acorn Recruitment’s newest office is in Pastures Avenue, in St Georges.

The company will work closely with local businesses to find employees roles within sectors such as industrial food production and engineering.

The Weston team will be managed by commercial development manager Matthew Hastie who has more than 20 years of recruitment experience.

He said: “It is fantastic to see another branch open in this region to build on our already substantial success in the South West. Managing Acorn’s two newest branches has been an exciting challenge so far, and Weston will help us deliver an even better service for both employers and jobseekers.

“This additional investment reinforces Acorn’s commitment to providing a comprehensive recruitment offering UK-wide and highlights our ongoing strategy for growth in the region, adding to an impressive 14 existing offices.”

The new Weston office means Acorn now has a branch in every county in the South West of England, and last year celebrated 25 years in the industry.

Noel Hoare, South West divisional manager, added: “We are very proud to announce this new addition to our growing South West portfolio.

“We are confident the new branch, headed by Matthew, will allow us to build on relationships with local businesses as our Bridgwater and Bournemouth branches have.

“This addition substantially builds upon the wider success we have secured through our expansion in the region and will help us continue to grow as one of the UK’s leading specialist recruitment agencies and the recruitment partner of choice for local businesses.

“Having been established in the South West for more than 25 years, our new Weston location allows us to develop our specialist recruitment offering further.

“We have already seen great growth potential materialise in the South West and across the UK, and we are confident these new locations will bring just as much success.”

Last year, Acorn was named Recruiter of the Year and Permanent Recruiter of the Year at the national IRP Recruitment Awards.
