A HORSE lover from Somerset is looking to take a natural approach to training the animals after completing a course with a world-renowned riding school in the USA.
Sally Webb, from East Brent, travelled to Colorado to take part in a course in Parelli horsemanship last year, a discipline founded by Pat and Linda Parelli which allows riders to get more in tune with their animals.
She said: “Parelli is ‘a natural approach to horse training’ using communication, understanding and psychology. The personal horsemanship program is for everyone and every horse, from pleasure pursuits to the highest level of competition.”
And having completed the first part of her instructor training in Florida in February, Sally is now one of very few qualified Parelli instructors in the UK.
As a one star instructor she is licensed to teach at the online level, levels 1-3, and is offering her training expertise to horse owners around the region, where she will visit horses at their stables.
