THE best beer is brewed in the West Country according to independent industry experts.
Butcombe Brewery, based in Wrington, scooped the overall best business award at BeerX in Sheffield.
The event was organised by the Society Of Independent Brewers (SIBA) and its chief executive Julian Grocock praised Butcombe for its ‘talented’ staff.
Guy Newell, managing director of Butcombe said: “SIBA has nearly 800 members, so winning the top business prize is fantastic news.
“I believe it reflects the hard work that the team has put behind communicating what our great range of beers has to offer to our customers, coupled with a customer service second to none.”
