A LEADING Somerset cider company is now selling its popular brand down under.

Thatchers has signed a contract with Australian brewery Coopers, which will see Gold cider available on draught for the first time.

The top tipple will be shipped from Thatchers’ Myrtle Farm in Sandford to the other side of the world, where it will be sold in hotels, clubs and bars.

The owner of the Somerset company, Martin Thatcher, said: “With the reputation of crafted English cider spreading overseas, we are really optimistic about the prospect of Gold being enjoyed by our friends in Australia.”

Thatchers is now enjoyed across the globe, with the company shipping to America as well.
