A new creative hub in Weston-super-Mare’s town centre will open by next spring, it has been announced.
North Somerset Council received a £460,000 grant from the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership to open the hub in the Badger Centre in Wadham Street.
It will provide space in both the digital and creative sectors where entrepreneurs can set up their own businesses.
The council’s head of performance Paul Morris told the executive on Tuesday that work was ‘progressing well’ for it to be opened in spring 2017.
The project is one part of the council’s plan for Weston’s regeneration.
