TWO Weston stores have collected around 1,000 for the British Heart Foundation.
Staff and customers of Homebase and Argos raised the money by taking part in a variety of events including fancy dress days, in-store collections, quizzes and sponsored runs.
The Home Retail Group which owns the two brands has raised one million pounds nationwide for the UK's heart charity.
The money will help to purchase life-saving defibrillators for communities across the country where they are needed most.
