STORMTROOPERS could be seen on the streets of Weston at the weekend to mark the opening of a new store.
Visitors to Lloyd's Toys in High Street also enjoyed face painting and competitions as part of the launch event on Saturday.
The shop is owned by 31-year-old Andy and Lorraine Lloyd, aged 32, of Bathurst Close, Burnham, who also own a second toy shop in Clevedon.
Andy, a father-of-two, said: "As part of the opening we had the Star Wars theme tune playing out of the loud speakers in the High Street and the Stormtroopers went out to meet people doing their Christmas shopping.
"This is a bigger store than our Clevedon one so we are hoping it will do well despite the current economic climate.
