A SHOP choca-block full of childhood memories has opened in Weston.
A SHOP choca-block full of childhood memories has opened in Weston.
Sweet Memories, in Regent Street, has 400 varieties of candy jars and boxes containing old fashioned favourites including cola cubes, humbugs, acid drops, aniseed balls, pineapple rock and rhubarb and custards.
The centrepiece is a Pukka Powder stand pumped full of multi-coloured sherbet.
Owner Tony Lock already had a wholesale confectionery business and thought a shop was the next step.
He said: "We have only been opened five days but already we have done better than I expected.
"People are surprised to see us here and amazed at how many sweets we have.
"I'm very pleased."
His son Arron, aged 21, will manage the shop.
