AN AMBITIOUS Lympsham teenager could give Alan Sugar a run for his money after being named Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Michael Turner, aged 18, won the prestigious title at Somerset Business Awards on October 22 and was presented with the accolade by Somerset Chamber of Commerce.
The motivated businessman, of Ferry Lane, built his first website at just 11 and left the Kings of Wessex School in Cheddar at 16 with eight GCSEs to start up his own company TurnKey I.T Solutions.
Michael said: “I’m very pleased and feel honoured to be presented with this award.
“It just shows that young people can achieve their goal in life, with enthusiasm and hard work.
“I think it’s brilliant that the Somerset Chamber of Commerce runs this event and reward those that have the dedication and commitment to move their businesses forward despite the current economic challenges.”
