Bosses at Sandford-based cider giants Thatchers have been toasting an ‘excellent’ harvest which has produced high-quality fruit.
North Somerset’s good weather in the summer and autumn has contributed to a ‘vintage’ harvest for the cider makers.
Managing director Martin Thatcher said: “The quality of the fruit has been excellent.
“With consistently good weather over the summer and autumn period, we’ve had premium conditions for growing.
“Working closely with our growers, we’ve been able to harvest the quality and quantity of fruit we need to produce our ciders, all of which gets pressed, made into cider and packaged, here at Myrtle Farm.”
