Thatchers Cider will build a new 5,540sqm warehouse in Sandford after North Somerset Council granted planning permission.
Some residents raised concerns over the proposed height of the 18.5m-tall warehouse, but the council voted in favour of the application after planners recommended it for approval.
The firms hopes the new ‘state-of-the-art’ facility will help it keep up with demand.
Managing director Martin Thatcher said: “We were very pleased to receive consent from North Somerset Council.
“The development will enable us to continue to meet the demand for our Somerset ciders both efficiently and to the highest quality standards, providing our staff with a state-of-the-art facility in which to work, provide the optimum facilities in which to store our ciders, and a sustainable design that works effectively with the existing Jubilee Building.”
