YEO Valley’s new boy band advert became an overnight internet sensation after debuting on national television on Saturday.

The Blagdon-based firm’s new campaign, featuring West Country boy band The Churned, took the internet by storm after making a first appearance during the advertising break on The X Factor on Saturday.

The video became the number one trending topic on social networking site Twitter immediately after, generating 5.5 million tweet impressions, while the video has already been viewed more than 58,000 times on YouTube.

Fans have already started an internet campaign to get the song to Christmas number one, while the company has launched a karaoke campaign on its Facebook site, with the winner getting the chance to star in the final TV advert, which will air on December 11.

The advert is also set to feature during the show’s advertising breaks on Saturday, November 5 and November 19.
