The Prince of Orange pub in Yatton could be turned into houses

Homes could replace a former Yatton pub after a planning application was submitted to North Somerset Council this week.
The Prince Of Orange closed last year and outline planning permission for four homes on its grounds has previously been given.
But iTech Homes has applied to build nine homes, including transforming the grade II-listed pub into two three-bedroom and one four-bedroom home.
The other six three-bedroom homes are proposed for the pub’s grounds.
In a planning statement, iTech Homes said: “(We) seek to preserve and enhance the character and appearance of the building, including the removal of past unsympathetic alterations and additions.”
It adds the project will not ‘harm the overall character of the village’.
