THE Post Office in Regent Street has been forced to close its doors today (Monday).
The store can no longer operate from its current site in Regent Street, which has been its temporary base since 2010, due to contractual issues involving the premises.
The store closed at around 5.30pm this evening.
The news comes shortly after plans to move to a permanent location just metres away, in the same street, were revealed.
A new Post Office branch was also opened inside the Spar store in High Street at the end of last year.
