A WESTON firm’s open day will take visitors back in time as it attempts to recreate a bygone era.

Crosville Motor Services’ open day on August 26 will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Badgerline and feature a variety of its vintage buses.

There will be free rides along Weston’s seafront and mystery tours around local bus routes recreating the services of old.

The event will be held from 10am-5pm at the firm’s depot in Winterstoke Road.

Managing director Jon Pratt said: “The whole purpose of the running day is to get the public interested in our heritage vehicles, we will be running up to 30 vehicles in and around the town.

“Our main aim is to provide the public with a special day to create awareness of our historic past along with educational talks within the depot in the hope to promote Crosville Motor Services.

“There will be free bus services which will be recreating bygone routes in Weston along with our commercial services which will be ran by our vintage fleet.”
