BRISTOL Water has been told it can make a small increase in the prices it charges its customers above the five-year price limits previously set.
The Competition Commission has determined that the average bill charged by the water company will rise from �157 in 2009/10 to �180 by 2014/15 – a rise of 15 per cent The judgment comes after Bristol Water appealed against watchdog Ofwat’s decision to increase bills by only seven per cent over the five-year period.
