A LEADING property investment and management company in Weston has joined a scheme designed to help industry improve its safety record.
Westmardels Ltd, based in Dolphin Square, has received accreditation from SAFEcontractor, a programme which recognises very high standards of health and safety practice amongst UK contractors.
Managing director, Chris Jeffries, said: "We needed to ensure that we were fully accredited to ensure our company can take on contracts with the most exacting requirements and fulfil our health and safety obligations to all our staff and clients.
"It is an important step forward and places us in an excellent position to increase the company's activities in this difficult financial climate."
SAFEcontractor is operated by international safety, health and environmental risk management specialists, The National Britannia Group.
To be accredited, businesses most undergo a vetting progress which examines health and safety procedures and tracks their record for safe practice.
