FLOWER power has hit one of Weston’s most picturesque parks, with some fresh floral displays and plant beds.
Weston Town Council has brightened up Grove Park with eight summery flower beds, which border the main path leading through the park.
Four of these beds have been sponsored by a new business - Anderson Heating and Plumbing – and the money will be used to help with the upkeep of the displays throughout the year.
Kyle Anderson said: “This was a brilliant chance to advertise my business in such a prominent park.”
Malcolm Nicholson, town council clerk, said: “This is a great initiative which engages the town council with the community. We are pleased it attracted interest so quickly and we think it is going to be a successful venture.”
There are still flowerbeds available to sponsor in the park and if you would like to snap one up contact the community and grounds administrator on 01934 632575 or email grounds2@wsm-tc.gov.uk
