A WESTON business has launched an appeal to find a community champion deserving of recognition.

The Pavilion Beafeater Grill on Hutton Moor Road will award its inaugural award to someone who has benefited their community and is currently seeking nominations.

The winner will also receive a 1,000 bursary to help them keep up their good work.

Lisa Willekens, Beefeater Grill spokesman, said: “If you know someone who is constantly thinking of others before themselves and helps to make your community a better place then we want to hear from you.

“Scout leaders, youth workers and Sunday league coaches alike – it’s time to say thank you to those people who make our neighbourhood somewhere to be proud of.”

Entries for nominations will close on October 31.

Those wishing to nominate a local resident for the Beefeater Grill Community Champions Award can get a nomination form at their local restaurant or go to www.beefeatergrill.co.uk/champions.
