The UK’s largest retailer of solid hardwood furniture has opened its first showroom in Weston.
Oak Furniture Land has opened its doors at the Gallagher Retail Park, in Marchfields Way.
The showroom has created six jobs and forms part of the company’s on-going expansion plans which saw them open 22 stores last year.
Their stock includes sofas and armchairs with 100 per cent hardwood in their frames.
Jason Davies, the company’s regional manager, said: “Following on from the success of our Taunton and Yeovil stores, we’re delighted to be opening our first store in Weston, which is our third in Somerset.
“The store features a great variety of our hardwood furniture, including a handful of brand new ranges we are delighted to showcase to our customers.
“The Weston store will play a significant role in our expansion programme across the UK for 2018.”
The store has also donated a 2ft vintage cake replica of a 1940s lady to charity The Alzheimer’s Society in support the its 1940s Tea Dance.
