A WINSCOMBE man has become the national president of the West of England Society of Chartered Accountants.
Martin Hagen, who was partner in charge of Deloitte's Bristol office for many years until his retirement in 2005, will take up the role in June.
The biggest gathering of West of England chartered accountancy leaders in 20 years, 21 in all, marked the occasion at a celebration lunch at the Mansion House in Bristol.
Presentations were made to Martin, also a vice president of Bristol City Football Club, and his wife Hilary.
