A McDonald’s restaurant in Worle has undergone a £750,000 refit.

The restaurant, in Queensway, is the last of six under the Lambtrad franchise to be given new digital technology.

The changes include self-service kiosks, table service and a children’s play area.

Bosses say introducing these services means staff has more opportunities to interact with customers and build their skills.

Franchisee Tim Lamb said: “I’m proud to be able to offer customers more choice as to how they enjoy their McDonald’s experience with this new digital store.

“McDonald’s is committed to harnessing digital innovation to provide our customers with the food they want, when and how they want it.”

It has 45 extra seats, and the changes have meant 20 more staff have been employed.

The restaurant’s new look was unveiled last week, where Mayor Jos Holder cut the ribbon.
