THE royal itinerary for a visit to Weston by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh has been revealed.On July 20 they will arrive on the royal train at Yatton Railway Station before being whisked away to Yeo Valley, a family-owned farming and dairy processing business in Blagdon. Founded in 1974 by the Mead family, the company has become one of the best-known organic yogurt brands in Britain and has also won the Queen's Award for Sustainable Development.Her Majesty and the Duke will then visit the For All Healthy Living Centre in Lonsdale Avenue on the Bournville estate. It has become a focal point for Weston's Bournville, Coronation, Oldmixon and Potteries estates, providing services including a library, a health centre, a council information point, a cafe, a church and a place where clubs and societies can meet.The royal couple will then visit the new Redrow housing development at Knightstone Island in Weston before taking part in a brief seafront walkabout. They are then expected to have lunch at the Winter Gardens on the seafront, which is currently undergoing a £100,000 refurbishment, before visiting Ashcombe Children's Centre in Earlham Grove.The £1.5million centre was built to bring all services needed for parents and children under one roof, and has a playgroup for special needs children, a nursery, two classrooms for pre-school children, crche facilities and an all-weather play area. The centre is one of 11 being built across North Somerset.The final destination for the Queen and the Duke before being flown out of Weston will be the Helicopter Museum in Locking Moor Road.The museum, which is the largest of its kind in the world, recently landed a £290,000 lottery grant which will enable it to build new training facilities for aviation engineers and a 60-seat cinema.
