Cadets from Weston and Burnham celebrate a successful year.

A YEAR of success was celebrated by Weston and Burnham air cadets during a glitzy presentation evening.

Youngsters from 290 Squadron donned black ties and ball gowns for the event at Batch Country Hotel in Lympsham.

Among those receiving awards were Cadet Warrant Officer Josh Morgan and Cadet Sergeant Kate Warren.

Both were recognised for their loyalty to the squadron, just weeks ahead of enlisting in the Army.

Other achievements noted during the ceremony were successes in first aid, Duke of Edinburgh award schemes, sporting glories and community awards.
