YOUNG people are being urged to have their say on plans to open a new skateboard park in Yatton.Yatton Parish Council has set up a Hangstones Skate Park Project which is made up of councillors, parents and young people. The council has allocated £10,000 towards the project and earmarked a site for the facility at Hangstones Playing Fields.Yatton Parish Council spokesman Faith Moulin said: "We want more young people to come forward and to get involved with the project. We want them to have their say on what equipment is needed and the design of the skatepark."It is going to be for them, so they need to have their say on the plans."The need for a skateboard park in Yatton was highlighted when local teenagers submitted a petition to the council pressing for a facility to be opened. Anyone who wants to get involved in the skate park project can call Faith Moulin on 01934 834283 or parish clerk Xanne Blythe on 426473.
