Congresbury Parish Council is hoping to set up a ‘men’s shed’ to help male villagers feel less isolated after divorce, ageing or the death of a partner.

The council hopes to set up a shed on its allotments, off Bristol Road, to encourage men to take part in horticulture, talk about their problems and make new friends in the process.

Anyone who is interested in setting up the shed is asked to contact Cllr Paul Doolan on 07990 854711.
